  • Focused on cross-border M&A and private equity and advising on compliance issues on anti-bribery and corruption matters.
  • Transactional experience captures 10+ South-East Asian countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. 
  • Working across 8 different sectors: real estate & infrastructure, energy & natural resources, banking, auto-finance, telecommunications, textile, pulp and paper and timber and trading sectors.
  • Examples of work include: an acquisition of a resources company in Indonesia; a joint venture for a MNC in the mobile banking business in Myanmar; corporate advisory to various Japanese trading companies for their global projects; and restructured a Middle Eastern shipping business to enable the first ever back door listing on the stock exchange. 
  • Examples of clients are Marubeni Corporation, Lum Chang, Yoma Strategic, Yoma Bank and Atlantic Navigation Holdings​.
  • Notable achievements include the restructuring of a Middle Eastern shipping business to be listed on the Singapore secondary exchange (Catalist). This was the first Middle Eastern business of its kind to be listed on the Catalist.
  • Qualified as an English Solicitor and fluent in Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.

Atlantic Navigation Holdings Inc (ANH)

Advised as International counsel to Atlantic Navigation Holdings Inc (ANH) on the restructuring of its marine logistics and ship repair and fabrication business for the subsequent S$146m back door listing of the company on the Singapore Catalist (a sponsor-supervised exchange) through the reverse takeover of Fastube Limited.


Singaporean listed entity

Advising a Singapore entity in relation to investment and development of a prominent large scale mixed-used development in Myanmar.


Marubeni Corporation

Advised Marubeni Corporation on the formation of a 50-50 aircraft engine leasing joint venture with Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd's aerospace unit. The joint venture, known as Total Engine Asset Management (TEAM), will have an initial leasing portfolio comprising CFM56-3, CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines to power narrow-body aircrafts such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.


TechnoFibre Group

Advised the shareholders in relation to the restructuring and the subsequent disposal of the individual interest in the TechnoFibre Group (Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Middle East) to Destini Berhad. The consideration for the disposal was listed shares in the Buyer and required various regulatory clearance requirements in Malaysia.


Long Haul Holdings Limited

Advised on the Long Haul Holdings Limited and PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (Bakrie Group) on the US$1 billion sale of part of the Bakrie Group interest in London-listed Bumi Plc to Borneo Lumbung Energy and Metal.
